I’ve received my bachelor’s degree, taken all the design courses from a interior design school, now what?  First let me say congratulations on earning your interior design degree. The next step will be completing an apprenticeship with an established interior designer or architectural firm.  The apprenticeship can last from one to three years, depending on the mentor you’ve chosen. This experience will give you on the job training and prepare you for your career in interior design. Many mentors go on to hire their proteges, but if not, you will be prepared for the tests required to get your interior design license for your state.
