Guided imagery can give you the edge in sport
Not everybody has the drive, determination, talent and self belief of the legendary American cyclist Lance Armstrong. In the gruelling sport that is long distance cycling there is little to separate the rest of the field from each other. Guided meditation can be a useful motivational aid to cyclists, as it is with many other athletes, to help them at stages where both their body and mind are tiring yet there is still a race to be won and a long way to go. At this stage so many people fail but the use of guided imagery can truly provide an edge. Reaping the benefits of guided imagery will mean that they are able to draw an inner confidence, strength and belief to invigorate their tiring bodies whenever they need to. Many athletes use guided meditation regularly and it can be a bona fide weapon in their armoury to be able to compete with and even be the best as opposed to just taking part.
