The Personal Side of Tiger Woods
On December 30, 1975, in Cypress California, Earl and Tida Woods gave birth to Eldrick Tont Woods. Eldrick was later dubbed “Tiger” by a Vietnamese soldier friend of his father and that’s the name he’s used throughout his life and career. Tiger Woods married Edin Nordegren on October 5, 2004. They reside in Orlando Florida, and have two children, a girl, Sam Alexis, and a boy, Charlie Axel. Throughout his life and career, Tiger has literally lived golf. He plays it, he teaches it, he writes about it, and he two golf courses of his own. An admirable part of his career is that he opened the Tiger Woods Foundation which offers a grant program and clinics that teach disadvantaged children how to play golf.
