The name Andre Balazs had been immortalized in real estate industry and hotel lodging (or enterprise) because of the world-renowned Standard Hotels. 

Standard Hotels is a group of hotels (considered as boutique hotels) in New York, Miami, Hollywood and also Downtown Los Angeles. 

The first Standard Hotel was opened up throughout the year 1999 located at the Sunset Strip (near Chateau Marmont in West Hollywood, California. 

The original building that filled the same spot where the 1st Standard Hotel is positioned was the Thunderbird Motel (inaugurated around 1960’s) and it was purchased by the Balazs and throughout that time it was a retirement home.
