The Spanish Steps, one of the most popular meeting places in the city, are a real hive of social activity and a great place to stop in a pavement cafe in the Piazza di Spagna and people watch. Make sure you actually climb the steps, which are highly impressive, rising over 12 flights up to a church flanked by beautifully carved sculptures.

Located in the quaint Piazza Trevi, it is a real sight to behold and will have you harking back to the days of glamour and glitz seen in many Hollywood movies.
